Violation of any other section in this chapter is punishable by fine not to exceed $500, or confinement in jail not to exceed 100 days, or both fine and imprisonment, provided, however, if there is a violation of any such provision or any provision mentioned in section 4.990 identical to a state statute with a lesser penalty attaching, punishment shall be limited to the lesser penalty prescribed in the state law.
