Any building, structure or building service equipment erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, converted or demolished, equipped, used, occupied or maintained contrary to the provisions of this chapter shall be and is hereby declared unlawful and a public nuisance, and may be abated as such.
